Seems to have enough grunt
I purchased it about 3 weeks ago, have done a fair bit of cutting and sanding. Only things I can see to be wary of are the rubber cog wearing (understandable, but seems like it could be beefier without sacrificing efficiency of the prime mover drive train). With the price tag associated with the different heads and seeing the small gear that attaches it, I can't yet in sound mind go out and get the saber saw head for trade purpose. 18V for the win though. Thermal cutout is a useful point with the unit itself, although I don't think they had it written anywhere in the useless instructions. Tool less changing of blade is also great.

I've had this for around 4 years now and have added the recip saw, jig saw and right angle drill heads to my kit. Mine is the older version that needs a 5mm Allen key to change the blades and whilst I wish it was tool free like the newer version, it's no deal breaker.
From pulling up Lino, to notching out skirting boards fitting kitchens, cutting gib, demo work, sanding in tight spots stripping paint from furniture this has been great.
Being able to ditch a full recip and jig saw and just carry a couple of heads is a real bonus when lugging tools to site. That alone makes this a smart buy, but the performance is there so it's not just a gimmick that sits in the bottom of the tool kit. This is a great tool.
Only down side for me (other than the tool free tool change which I understand has been fixed) is that getting my thumbs in to detach heads can be a bit awkward.
